I found this web site lately called Posterous. It provides service of using email to send your updates to various services like Facebook, Myspace, Tweeter… and most important of all, your blogs. It is such a convenient tool which saves time to go to each site and put in your updates. If however, you don’t have account on any of the social networking sites, and don’t have your own blog, they give you a free blog, just like a blogger/blogspot blog. You update your new blog by sending emails. Google “Posterous”, you will find the site.

Nowadays twitter is getting more and more popular. When buying a template, someone was asking: is the template “Twitter integrated”? . Do a search on google, I found the new term “Integrated Twitter Search”. There is a pretty good article on that topic, you can see here.

The uprising of Twitter gave us some clue as where will the social networking and social marketing heading for. One big lesson learned is that people are getting addicted to short and meaningful messages or posts. Everyone is busy, unless you got some really good written stuff, nobody would bother to read your post more than 300 words. From now on, I’ll make my posts short and meaningful to follow this twitter trend.

I was trying hard to find some unique characters from some of the top money making bloggers, and came up with the following thoughts. To become a super blogger, you will have to be:
As kind and greedy as John Chow
John Chow is kind enough to share his tips on how to monetize your blog. However with every tip he gives you, there are a dozen affiliate links or CPC links attached to it. Almost half of his blog posts are paid reviews. Although he claimed to earn $30,000+ per month, he tried hard to get a free Mac Air from one of his sponsors.
As bold and generous as Shoemoney
Jeremy Shoemaker is bold, not only his head (which is bald and attractive to some girls/ladies), but his style in blogging. He throws everything out to get as much as subscribers and commentators to his blog. When he got a free spare Mac Air, he gave it away to his readers in a contest.
As passionate and tight as Problogger
Darren Rowse is the guy behind Problogger. He is passionate to put up around 4 blog posts per day and also countless tweets on twitter. Although he is one of the top earning bloggers, when he got a spare Mac Air, he was tight enough to sell it on his blog.
As honest and fishy as Yaro
Yaro is honest enough to accept not everyone can make big money without lying. He can put up a testmonial on his blog to brag about his coachin program out of thin air, and banned anyone who found out his trick from commenting on his blog.
How do you find out about these top bloggers?

Many bloggers rely on MySpace (<http://www.myspace.com>) for new readers and visitors. Setting up a free MySpace profile and participating in groups and forums can attract an entirely new group of people to your blog. When networking and promoting on MySpace it is important to remember the Terms and Policies of the site and to avoid sending out bulk messages of any kind.
You can use MySpace as a promotional tool for your blog, including a widget to your blog on my MySpace profile page so that all visitors can see your latest blog headlines. You may also cross post bits of your blog posts to your MySpace blog linking back to the full post on your own domain.
While MySpace is very strict about posting links to your site in certain forums and groups, there are ways to advertise your domain and blog site without breaking the rules. MySpace allows users to have a headline which appears instead of there name. Many users replace that headline with their own web address.
Facebook is another good site for promoting your blog and getting the attention of new clients, readers, and even local businesses. Quite a few bloggers have groups set up on Facebook and network with each other. Also they are often helped by friends and relatives who are also on Facebook and who don’t mind sharing news of you blog through word of mouth. Many of the Facebook applications make it easy to add feeds to your blog and to promote your domain or blog without getting into any trouble.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, Digg is beloved by Google. Every time I submit a post to Digg, it got indexed by Google in a very short period of time(as short as minutes). This prompts me to put up this video on Digg, as my social network video series 3.
Enjoy the video. Here is the link.

A video posted on johnchow.com prompted me thinking of a possible law suit which could get Twitter in trouble. It claims to be the world’s first Twitter accident, a lady broke her leg while twittering on a charity walk for a cancer foundation. I did a quick look at Twitters TOS and to my surprise, there is no item mentioned about user safety when using Twitter.
If you were Twitter’s CEO, what you would do immediately after you saw this video?
I would do the following:
- Send this lady $100k to cover here medical expense, send the cancer foundation $100k to make the lady even happier (thus no law suit). This will make a perfect promotion case for Twitter while avoid a possible law suit.
- Amend the TOS as quick as possible to add in another term: users responsible for any harm incurred by using Twitter. This will eliminate possible law suit in the future.
- Post a safety warning of the home page warning people on safe twittering.
- Send 100kjob.info $100k for this advice. (As it may save Twitter millions in compensation payout)
Here is the post on johnchow.com with the video – World’s First Twitter Accident.
